Wiper Performance Test Rig

Following tests are conducted :
  • Low Voltage Start Test

  • No Load Test

  • Rated Torque Test

  • Lock Torque Test
Low Voltage Start Test - On applying the voltage from 1 volt to 3 volts a check is made whether the motor moves from its stall position. The voltage at which the motor moves from the stall position is sensed and compared with the set values and accordingly results are declared.

No Load Test - The wiper motor is made to run without any load. The current and speed are measured and compared with the set limits and accordingly the results are declared.

Rated Torque Test - The wiper motor is made to run with the set voltage and at the set torque using a powder clutch brake. The current, speed torque are measured and compared with the set limits and accordingly the results are declared.

Lock Torque Test - The motor is locked with the maximum possible torque using the magnetic powder clutch at the set voltage. The current, voltage, torque are measured and compared with the set limits and accordingly the results are declared.
